The journey to building a dream home is unique for everyone. For Zac and Sian, who chose Celebration Homes as their builder, it meant creating the perfect space that felt open, natural, and effortlessly connected. Inspired by the calming simplicity of Japandi design and a strong focus on natural light, they set out to bring their vision to life, with Home Collective’s guidance and expertise.

The selection process

The moment Zac and Sian stepped into Home Collective, they knew they were in the right place.

“We were blown away the first time we walked through. Seeing all the options for every element of our home in one space helped us visualise exactly what we wanted,” they shared. “The modern, expertly styled, and cosy atmosphere reassured us that we had chosen the right builder to bring our dream home to life.”

With a love for light-filled spaces and a connection to nature, Zac and Sian had a clear vision from the start. “We wanted our home to be open, full of natural light, and have a natural feel to it. Japandi style was a big influence on our design choices, blending minimalism with warmth. And of course, we wanted to make sure our backyard maximised space for our furbaby.”

For Zac and Sian, the selections process was a highlight of their journey, a 10/10 experience from start to finish.

“The entire process was so well thought out. The options available, the guidance from our consultants, the workshops that helped us ask the right questions, it all made our decisions so much easier,” they explained. “But our selections consultation with Scott was hands-down the best part. He took the time to understand our vision, made us feel welcome, and helped us make choices that were truly ‘us.’ His expert guidance turned the whole process into something fun and exciting, we’d recommend it to anyone looking to build.”

Bringing their vision to life

Like many homeowners, Zac and Sian turned to Pinterest for inspiration, collecting ideas that reflected their style. But it was Home Collective that truly brought their vision to life.

“We got so much inspiration from the sample designs at Home Collective. In fact, our bathroom is almost an exact replica of one they have on display!”

Beyond aesthetics, it was important for them to create a home where each space flowed seamlessly into the next, offering flexibility in layout to suit their lifestyle now and into the future.

Looking ahead

With construction underway, Zac and Sian are eagerly anticipating the moment they can step into their new home.

“We’re most excited about our open-plan living area. It’ll be a space filled with natural light, where we can relax and enjoy the home we’ve created together. Plus, we’re building right next door to some of our best mates, who we met through our dogs, so we can’t wait for our pups to play together all the time!”

Zac and Sian’s vision for their home is more than just walls and a roof, it’s a reflection of their lifestyle, their personalities, and creating the perfect haven for their most important resident: their dog. With their Japandi-inspired vision coming to life, they’re not just building a house, they’re making a home where everyone, paws included, feels right at home.
