SUPPLIER SPOTLIGHT: REECE

We recently caught up with bathroom experts from Reece, who shared the latest bathroom trends as well as what they think will appear in bathrooms of the future.

What are the most popular trends at the moment?

There has been a gravitation towards spaces that are inviting. In the bathroom, this has led to organic, round shapes that are tactile and soothing. Wellness continues to be a central theme for bathrooms, coupled with hygiene. There has been a transformation in how we adopt technology in the bathroom to work for the user, and tie in seamlessly with the organic/minimal design. This is delivered through the likes of handsfree taps, sensor toilet buttons and smart toilets.

What products are timeless for a bathroom?

A timeless product is forged around the user and their needs. Having said that, here are a few indulgences and items for consideration…

Double showers. Being able to have two showers for an ensuite creates a sense of sanctuary and personalisation for each user. Consider Twin Rail Showers or the combination of an overhead and hand piece.

Freestanding bath. The ultimate indulgence, and an elegant centrepiece for a bathroom. This product is great for resale.

Rimless toilet. Sounds simple, but functionality and convenience create easier-to-clean toilets and more hygienic spaces.

Beautiful mirrors! You won’t appreciate a good mirror until you use your bathroom daily. We love the curved mirror in Dale Alcock Homes’ Oslo Display Home.

Chrome, black or gold - the choice is yours. The Banksia, Whitehaven and Akio display homes by Dale Alcock Homes, showcase these 3 styles, featuring quality tapware from Reece. Sit back and be inspired by these beautiful looks.

Chrome

Chrome, displayed in the Whitehaven, is a winner when it comes to tapware design and has been the most popular in Australian bathrooms.

Easy to clean.  Scratches and fingerprints tend to show up far less on chrome tapware. Minor marks are also easy to wipe clean without damaging the material.

Stand the test of time.  “Chrome is a class go-to colour that is simply timeless, and it’s versatile; playing the charming traditional role in a Hamptons home and takes on a modern look when paired well with pops of colour”, tells the Reece team.

Matt black

Matt black tapware, as you can see in the stunning Banksia display home, is highly trendy and will bring a modern, industrial touch to your bathroom. The sleek look is becoming more and more popular and seems it is here to stay!

Chic and sleek. Just as in the world of fashion, here black goes with everything. It’s chic, trendy and instantly has a ‘wow’ factor when you enter your bathroom. “Black applies a modern feel to any space and can tie into the home accessories seamlessly, creating a consistent story”, the Reece team explains.

Gold

Gold tapware is back on trend! We love it in the Akio display home. It’s a synonym of luxury, with a touch of classic. Careful, however – this look is not for everyone, and will be more of a statement in your bathroom.

Elegant and flexible. Flexibility is key, so you can change elements easily when you become tired of a particular style. Gold pairs well with different aesthetics, from luxe-coastal to modern-country styles. “Gold, in both a polished or brushed look, becomes the jewellery of the bathroom. It’s tactile, which means it’s inviting to use and brings greater depth to a space”, shares the team at Reece.
