Festive Windows at Home Collective: A Collaboration with Alice Lindstrom

This Christmas, our Home Collective stores in Leederville and Bunbury are celebrating the season with bespoke window decals created in collaboration with artist and illustrator Alice Lindstrom.

To complement our Nordic/Scandi-inspired interiors, we chose a stylised line-drawing look that feels both modern and nostalgic. We love working with artists to bring our spaces to life seasonally, and Alice’s work has added something truly special.

Known for her vibrant paper collages and papercut-inspired designs, Alice draws on mid-century illustration, folk art, and early twentieth-century influences. For this project, she shared:

“I wanted the imagery to resemble a papercut, an art form rooted in German, Scandinavian, and Swiss cultures. In the past, people would hang these paper decorations from windows and ceilings to mark significant holidays.

I have Scandinavian heritage and am especially drawn to the traditional imagery and folk motifs used in these festive paper garlands, snowflakes, stars, reindeer and winter scenes. I wove this imagery into the design for the windows, hoping to evoke the feeling of a White Christmas, as well as the joy and celebration that the season brings.”

You can view the artwork for a limited time at Home Collective Leederville and Bunbury – we’d love for you to stop by and experience it in person!
